I have 2 yorkies both with diabetes and pancreatitus one also has cushings our vet put them on Hills w/d and they would not eat it there skin went all flakey and they were pooing for england. I tried other makes for diabetic dogs and then tried them on chappie, they now eat all the food and the pancreas is less inflamed , Great food for diabetes as well, the dried low fat food keeps them stable Would reccomend this food

My 5 yr old Cocker was recently diagnosed with Pancreatitius after a lifelong diet of dried food from James Wellbeloved through to Science Plan.

When I moved in with my boyfriend who also had a dog, my Cocker became much more "gulpy" when eating his food as he was obviously worried that the other dog was going to try to get his dinner!

I don't think that eating dried food at such a pace helped with his pancreatitius, but the vet recommended he be put on Chappie which would also help with his weight which he was getting slightly chubby.

I have had no problems since then, and he has also been changed to 3 meals a day, rather than two so that his pancreaus can process everything at a better pace.

Can't fault Chappie at all!

Just wish they had more than two flavours!
