Ok I have shot for years and had several HW's and originals amongst others. However I bought an HW57 recently and it was rubbish so I took it back and got the latest BSA Lightning XL in .177. It felt right as soon as I picked it up and sits beautifully in the shoulder. I have had it down the gun club a few times now and found it extremely accurate. I have been using flat headed target pellets and they group superbly. Cant say I think the silencer works well but its a nice cocking tool. Also the trigger is nowhere near as good as the HW record one and adjustment seems very woolly.
Finally the stock looks lovely when new but the matt lacquer picks up marks very easily. May have to get it oiled at some point. So overall I really like this rifle BSA but can you please sort out that trigger!!
