This site is very poor value for money, the only things which are free are the swimming pools which close at 1.00 and 6.00pm so that other activities which have to be paid for can be operated by Haven. I have never had to pay for a hair dryer or had to pay 20p for a locker which is non-returnable. This place reeks of profiteering, nearly everything is at extra cost and it is far from cheap. It bears very little resemblance to the brochure. The entertainment though, we thought was pretty good, although we did have to queue to get in on one occasion and the doors were manned by rather intimidating security guards. On our arrival at the site quite late, we found we had been left with insufficient bedding (for only 3 people instead of 5)and two of the pillows were so disgustingly dirty that no way could they be used. The bedding generally was borderline clean so we just had to close our minds and use what had been provided. However, we did find the staff always very polite and helpful and our complaints were responded to in a positive manner. However, Haven, with their experience, should have higher standards from the outset. The caravan was cold and damp, but we did have quite a lot of rain. Like the previous review, we left 2 days early and I must admit to breathing a sigh of relief when we drove out of the site, NEVER TO RETURN!!!!!!!!!! A pretty disappointing experience overall. Haven seem more intent on maximising their profitability rather than the pleasure their visitors enjoy. An aura of seedyness pervades everywhere and generally our overall opinion was that it was a RIP-OFF.
