I have read the reviews below with utter amazement. It would appear that it is an official policy of Ernest Jones to try and wriggle out of giving customers their statutory rights by blaming defects and sub standard goods on the customer themselves.
I am experiencing this myself at the moment with a £2.5k Omega watch I purchased (I spent nigh on £7k in the shop in one go, so they clearly don't care about their customers) where they are attempting to blame me for the fact it doesn't work and refusing me my statutory rights by referring to an onerous manufacturers report.
I have sent the details to Watchdog and they are interested in doing an expose. I am also looking at making some sort of legal claim, if anyone would like any details or to be included in either please email me: email@example.com
