I just bought a C50 Suzuki and I love it. I am a relatively new, woman rider. I am very tall and up there in the pounds (not over 200lbs though). I started on a Suzuki s40 which was a great beginner bike for me. I bought it used, rode it for 1000 miles, then traded in for a new 2009 C50 Suzuki. As a newer rider, sitting on the bike in the showroom was scary - it is big. I had ridden a 1200 Sportster so I could handle the C50, and the salesman said the C50 is the perfect step up for me. I chose the C50 because it has a shaft drive. I think this is superior technogy, which the comparable Kawasaki Vulcan doesn't have. I also like the fuel injection, which is a plus that a comparably priced Honda didn't have (til 2011, and they are pricier). Finally, the C50 is liquid cooled. The salesman pointed out Harleys are not liquid cooled and on a hot day, or sitting in traffic - those bikes get hot. I have to say, riding my friend's Harley Sportster 1200 made my one foot hot after a 20 min trip. Hands down, the C50 is a smooth ride, with plenty of power. I can get around the back, steep, windy hills in my neighborhood with not problem. I love this bike and I am glad I bought it. Ride safe!
