Having ordered an initial 9 suits for our wedding party 3 months before the wedding, it's now 8 days before and we are still having problems with Youngs Suit Hire.
Each member of the party was measured in store at the Fort Shopping centre, Birmingham 6 weeks before and for almost every person this was done incorrectly. Some sizes had to be rung through to the warehouse by a staff member, but this was not done and we were left in limbo whether they could actually obtain these sizes, even though we'd paid in FULL weeks before.
To cut this short, they've sent out boys size jackets instead of mens, wrong colour cravats,, other wrong sizes and now they've completely forgotten the most important member of the party - The Groom!
The warehouse people simply keep selecting the wrong sized items, along with forgetting things. The guy in the store is having a nightmare himself trying to get the company to send out the correct items. My fiance has been in tears about this and is actually ruining the build-up to our big day (and possibly even the big day if we have no suits)
We are supposed to be receiving the 'diamond' service from Youngs whereby we get 'complete peace of mind' and told to 'relax, it's all taken care of' 'delivered 10 days before'. This certainly isn't the case and the amount of petrol, time and stress this has cost us is unbelievable.
I would recommend anyone who wants to hire from them to keep the numbers low and keep calling them to check it's all in hand, and make sure they're delivered at least 10 days before because it's almost guaranteed to be wrong.
My actual recommendation would be to avoid this company altogether and actually buy your suits outright well in advance from elsewhere, to avoid any problems with hire companies.
