cheap, speakerfone, predictive text, small
cheap plastic middle button, poor transmission quality, slow menus and annoying text service features
Been using my alcatel 301 mobile phone for 6 months, and can just about live with it. It's cheap and quite small, the reception quality is good but the transmission quality is poor, with the listener on the other end, getting a lot of interference and loud hissing, and might even think that you were in a violent storm! I've tested it on the virgin and 1-2-1 network. (1-2-1 being sligtly clearer)
The menu moves slowly with the cheap plastic tridirectional middle button. Making a cheap clicking sound when you press down on it.
The worst feature of it is the text message service, you cannot save a text message when you want, unless you specifically go into the canned message option.awful. And worse still if you start a message and wait too long without doing anything it automatically goes back to the start screen, thereby losing your message!!!Awful.
Apart from the above bad points it is cheap, lighter than the Nokia 32/3310 series, has a nice speakerfone feature, and the batterys last about week on standy. Its good for a first time buyer but you will tire of it quickly.
