We ordered the Bibi Cot Bed for our 6 week vacation in London. Our little boy is a year and a half old. We wired money, sent the address details of the apartment hotel by email and verified everything by telephone twice. Delivery was assured for our arrival day. To our horror we arrived but the bed did not. Mamas and Papas shipping department butchered the address and telephone number so badly that the courier could not find the address. The street name was truncated and part of the address was missing. When we called the shipping department on Thursday we were assured delivery by Friday afternoon or Saturday morning as the parcel was still with the courier and the address was corrected. This was a lie as the bed was finally delivered on Tuesday! A full 6 days later! Meanwhile my infant had to sleep on a mattress on the floor and rolled off several times hitting his head on the floorboards. My wife could not sleep because she was constantly looking after the little one who shifts in his sleep constantly. We were worried he would be injured. It was a nightmare! The only good thing was that I ordered the mattress from Toys R US because it was better and Toys R US delivered on time so at least the boy had a nice mattress. The customer service in Mamas and Papas is IMPOSSIBLE to contact. I was on hold all day Friday to get to the shipping department and could NOT get through. I was on hold all day and it is a phone call for which you have to pay. There was NO refund of the shipping price as we paid extra to have it delivered on a specific day. That's one week of an expensive holiday that we will not recover either, financial and emotional loss is something I will never forget. Mamas and Papas are expanding to the USA and they will find that the kind of extremely poor service they provide that British people seem to enjoy will not go over with the Americans and I will be enjoying reading about their financial losses in the future. Americans do not put up with this nonsense, why do the British? I advise you to purchase from Toys R US for proper delivery. I despise Mamas and Papas for their lack of service and compassion. We even asked if we could take a demo cot model from one of their local stores and they refused. What kind of company does this to an infant?
