Very poor, "just do the minimum" service.



No support for families with kids. Etihad forgot the child meal and didn't bring the child activity packs promised on the web site. Do not fly Etihad if you have babies or young children. Do consider Malaysia Airlines who's support for families is simply excellent and makes the whole experience so much easier.



Three hours late leaving Heathrow.



Overnight connection with 8 hours on the ground at Abu Dhabi airport was a nightmare. We had to sleep on freezing cold lounge seats with and 18 month old and 3 year old. Despite several e-mails on what to do overnight with the kids we were just ignored by Etihad .. Airport hotel was full and one of the lounges made it very clear that young children were not welcome.



Great "on-demand" in flight entertainment with loads of movies and TV programs.



Good food.



Seat pitch is not as good as some others, but fairly typical. SIA and MAS are better for those of us with long legs!! Check it out on seatguru.com.



Abu Dhabi airport Lounges, hotel and food were incredibly expensive. Avoid this airport if you have any kind of long connection.
