We are a small social club. We thought we had opened our account with Lloyds TSB in February 2010, but because they lost the original documents but didnt inform us, it was actually April when the account was finally opened. Since then they have lost the personal details of our signatories 4 times, cancelled direct debits citing "insufficient funds", when there was plenty of money in the bank. I find the staff on the helpline for the most part ok but they seem at a loss to explain what has happened. They freely admit that the direct debits were cancelled in error but dont know why and they refunded the charges we had incurred from the 3rd party, but it keeps happening.
