I needed lots of storage. I've forgotten exactly how much I have now but what Gmail was offering was phenomenal at the time. Mostly I would sent myself content from a web site where part of all of the site was being deleted.
Gmail is, however, a great big pain. You can't put emails in folders. Anything archived may never be found again. If I sent an email, I can't get rid of it except by deleting, and if I don't delete, it will be impossible to find.
Oh, yes, deleting. They tell you that you'll never have to delete. Well, I'd rather go ahead. But be warned! I am fortunate that they tell you it was a conversation that got deleted. I have to quickly click on "undo" if I forget. Then all that stuff I wanted to delete is still there. I finally figured out how to delete, but why make it that difficult? It's similar, but not nearly as aggravating, as new Zimbra Lycos.
And what about spam? Every week or two I sign into Gmail and am greeted with approximately 100 emails telling me how inadequate my penis is. And I have to go through one by one and check them jsut in case I got something important.
