“I used this product 6 weeks ago to dye my hair light...”

I used this product 6 weeks ago to dye my hair light auburn and my friend did it for me and it came out excellent. Today I went to the store to re-dye my hair the same color and I bought light auburn again and it came out awful. The roots of my hair are a dark purple and the rest of my hair is cranberry red. I have been washing it out all day but nothing is working... if anyone has any suggestions on how to get this rainbow out of my hair please tell me!
