These coffee grinders seem to have a manufacturing flaw. The blade gets loose and won't turn when the motor is running. This happened to my grinder after just a few months, and to my boyfriend's grinder as well, after a similar amount of time. A quick internet search revealed other users had the same problem with this grinder in particular. The loose blade is impossible to fix without taking the grinder apart, which is not something the bodum grinder is built for you to easily do. In short, this product is not built to last. That isn't particularly heartbreaking, since it is a farily cheap grinder, but I would not buy this product again. I ended up buying a Mr. Coffee grinder, which currently costs $5 less than the bodum grinder. We'll see how it fares.
