The thing is that Avira lets you leave the virus or troyan as is on the drive. Virus stays undeleted, unblocked, fully operable, while the other programs remove it without even asking! This is a great option! Concerning some files it doesn't see... well, which one is ideal?! Avira is "silent" and much faster than any similar product!

If you want the virus left in place, simply configure the 'other programs' to do so. Not sure why you would want to intentionally leave your computer infected though.
