I could not help but feel as though I was personally going through the game. Hearing your enemies walk about, seeing scenery pass by as it does in reality, and all of the other components that make the game real does, truly make it a reality for me. I have been playing through with some of my male friends, and they agree with me that they feel uncomfortable in the areas like the dig and caverns. We all agree, too, that the newly created enemies take some time to hack up our courage to begin seeking their weak points in order to defeat them. Mentally worthwhile.
There are some gliches where you can shoot at a hidden enemie's extended gun and cause bodily damage enough to off the guy. But I have been the first one to admit using these glitches to get me through the game.
The pace in Return to Castle Wolfenstein is constant, the challenge of the next move just enough for an average game player. There are the occasional spots where your character has to use his skills and your brain cells to figure out how to get through to the next challenging stage. I had the game set at its easiest level of play, and I rechecked my choice several times to be sure I was playing the easiest version my game was so challenging. But I have loved every moment. I will play it again and again. I will definitely get the courage to play it in a more difficute level.
