I have been following this diet for almost 4 months. I follow the diet three days a week and eat the moderation the other four. I am in my sixties and have a bad knee, so don't get a lot of exercise. I have lost 20 lbs in total. I never had a large weight loss. I often go to to three weeks then I will suddenly be down 3 to 4 pounds...now I lose about a pound a week. It is so simple to follow. Walking is a bit easier with the weight loss so I am going to try to add some excersie to speed up the loss. Perhaps because this is now a four month habit, I find on my four days I make better food choices and eat less. There is absolutely no way I would ever follow this diet 7 days a week. Some weeks on day two I'm ready to eat the paint off the wall...so I make sure I have diet jello on hand so I have something on hand when I crave something. However I rarely eat the ice cream. I first heard about this diet on a recent cruise. The cook had lost 180 lbs. He followed the cabbage soup diet one week in four and followed this diet the other three weeks.
