Bournemouth has a new, state of the art departure terminal where check in for Palmair is handled efficiently by friendly and professional staff, with pre allocated seats. No security queues, plenty of space and excellent bar/restaurant in the departure lounge. Once onboard, space is adequate for short haul, seats comfortable, meal service is a cold starter, hot main and dessert with cheese and biscuits on evening flights with coffee/tea, included in the price. Staff at all levels ensure travellers are kept well informed. What really makes the difference is the crew. Palmair crew all know each other, enjoy working together and clearly enjoy their job. If theres a way of solving it, they'll solve it! Courteous and friendly too.
From my home, Bournemouth is 80 miles, Heathrow is 20. Given parking, check-in, size of airport etc., using Bournemouth saves me time over Heathrow.
A joy to fly in this day and age. Such a departure from the no frills, normal charter and inpersonal scheduled carriers. I'll be looking at them first for my 2011 holiday. I wish them continued success
