Flying from Narita to Heathrow we were given what turned out to be an almost impossible transfer at Frankfurt. We were the last people on the plane. Our baggage didn't make it. Lufthansa were in no hurry to our clothes back to us and employed the most incompetent delivery company, Rico Logistics, to deliver it. We were forced to wait in for a whole day only to discover their courier couldn't be bothered to ring the doorbell and had simply driven away when confronted with a locked door. We were forced to wait in for a second whole day for a delivery that turned up at 6pm when it had been promised "sometime before 5:10pm".
You can blame the delivery company but remember Lufthansa are employing them and they were absolutely insistent they would not get involved in pushing the delivery company to provide a decent service.
If you're flying to the UK with Lufthansa and your luggage is delayed, beware!
