I bought the "super" set, as it is called at my music store full of Xs20's about a week or so ago. 16" 18" medium-thin Crashes, 20" medium ride, 14" medium hi-hats, 10" splash, 18" china, cymbal case. I have to say, I couldn't be happier. the crashes are just bursting with tone, and they truly sing even to a light touch. The ride has an AMAZING, penetrating, yet tonal bell, with just enough "ping" on the bow. If you wanted, you could even use this as a crash, it sounds great as one also. The hi-hats are very bright and open sounding, even though i think i prefer the rock hats to what i play (I play metal). But for softer stuff, these hats are just amazing. The splash is probably my favorite on this set. It's incredibly loud, has an incredible sound, and decays really, really fast (like a good splash should). The 18" china was alright, It's trashy, but it's just O.K. when played loudly crashed. If you play jazz, this china sounds AMAZING when it's ride on, and played softer. Who can forget how cymbals look also? With the AA style tonal grooves, they truly look amazing. Plus to get a free case with these is a true bonus!!! In total (not including tax), these all came out to $730.00 CAD, which is an amazing deal, a 3 cymbal set of A customs is $750. I would HIGHLY recommend these to a drummer who wants a great, but not yet too professional, affordable sound. 10/10.
