I needed a battery replaced - I was told they would package it and send it to Seiko. Then they rang me NINE TIMES over EIGHT WEEKS with identical sales pitches, telling me SEIKO had found my watch to be running slowly - costing ' £99 to repair. Asking basic questions made the staff flustered.

It turned out THEY HADN'T SENT IT TO SEIKO, and when I had Seiko check it later, there was nothing wrong with my watch - I was being asked to pay for unnecessary repairs! (The owner considers them to have been due to a number of miscommunications, and "overkeen salesmanship").

In the end, Seiko confirmed it hadn't been sent to them. Watch Lab admitted this, and that they also had done no diagnostics (issuing a refund), but claimed that it was pure 'coincidence' that I'd been rung 9 times to tell me a fault had been diagnosed, when in fact there had been no diagnostics performed at all.
