It was my mother's birthday and we decided to go to San Lorenzo's, Mossley for the first time. NEVER AGAIN!!



We had to wait 15 minutes before we were even given menus, just sat at the table looking around. We were asked ONCE if we wanted drinks for the whole meal....I had to keep asking for more....and then they took 20 minutes to get there.



The starters were terrible. My mother's prawns were small and tasteless and presented on a shabby bed of cheap salad (shredded carrot etc.), my "meat platter" was horrible. The meat was all cold and was served with very vinegary spinach. I left all of it. The rest of our party were disappointed with their starters too.



We then waited 2HOURS for the main course. The restaurant wasn't even busy. I ordered fillet steak in a balasamic sauce.......it was more sauce than steak. They gave us a small bowl of vegetables to share between 5 people (serves 2 at most). NO excuse. My steak cost around £12 which was an absolute rip off considering you get more sauce than meat. it looked like a bowl of soup with a few shreds of meat!



My brother ordered a pepperoni pizza.....it came with no pepperoni. So they took it back to the kitchen, butchered it into squares, put some pepperoni on and then gave it back! It looked terrible....and after waiting over 2 HOURS!!



Still no drinks.....had to keep asking.



Anyway, we asked for the bill and it came to around £210. I was very shocked. THEY OVERCHARGED US £80. They must have thought we were drunk! They overcharged for 4 bottles of wine and some bottles of beer! How can they possible make that mistake? It's funny how they never undercharge you isn't it? THIEVES!



WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER. THEY NEVER EVEN APOLOGIZED.
