Up is a truly wonderful film. Pixar have created a simple story of an elderly man (Carl) who lives alone in his house, surrounded by the construction of high rises. He decides that enough is enough and goes on a journey to fulfil a lifelong desire. By using hundreds of balloons Carl floats his house off to South America but doesn't wager on the unfortunate hitch hiker (a boy scout looking to fulfil his "helping the elderly" badge) he has stuck out on his porch. There is plenty of action and adventures along the way and the film never tires or fails to please.
This is possibly my favourite Pixar film to date; I loved Wall-e, but the stunning visuals they have created together with some brilliant characters make this a movie to treasure. There are moments where I laughed out loud so much that I got tears in my eyes. At certain points in the film the room got very dusty and I defy anyone to say they didn't find that too.
