A good friend of mine from Kingston ON was visiting me in Victoria and we went to Salt Spring Island for the weekend. She and I stayed at the Mountain Aerie Retreat and have only very good comments to pass on. The setting is beautiful, very quiet and peaceful. The views are fantastic as are the hosts. They made us feel "at home" the minute we arrived. We enjoyed our brief stay very much and would recommend this retreat to everyone. The breakfast was delicious with everything served absolutely fresh. The room was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. I have told all my friends in Victoria about this and will definitely return many times. Didn't make it up for the "sunrise" but understand it is beautiful.
