“This pub is a Routier and thus we had high...”

This pub is a Routier and thus we had high expectations and were sadly letdown. We had looked at the menu online and saw Dauphinoise potatoes which are my husbands absolute favourite and which we have had in many restaurants. The blackened block of 'dauphinoise' served with his duck breast orange (£18) had to be seen to be believed; the duck was OK as was my chicken chorizo - but as we had travelled some distance to try this restaurant especially for the dauphinoise it was a big disappointment to this foodie couple. We can only assume that the chef was away that Saturday nightin June 2010
