The Qualcast Elan 32 mower is the worst i have ever used, i could cut the grass quicker with a pair of scissors! dont buy one EVER - no stars on either of the above.

I entirely agree with you, I have used some rubbish lawn mowers in my time but this is in a class of its own. If you want a better cut on your lawn, then I suggest pushing a wheelbarrow over it !!!!!!!

Mmmm, above comments very odd as we have had our Élan 32 for what must be 12 years now, having purchased it at B & Q whilst in Cardiff visiting our daughter, and it has never let us down, never been serviced just cleaned twice a year during the cutting seasons.

Numerous cutting positions, cuts beautifly on a large lawn, from our point of view an excellent mower.

In addition to my previous, if the law mower needs adjusting , simply put a piece of paper between the striker blade and the cutting blades, rotate the cutting blades by hand in the direction of cut, the paper should be cut cleanly as the blade passes over the plate, if it dosnt , simply use the adjusting screws the adjust the plate until the paper is cut. Make sure the adjustment is equal both sides. It is amazing how many people expect this type of mower to cut straight out of the box.adjustment is required.
