Sold as a 'kitchen' radio it is quite good. Set up was easy with good reception from the telescopic aerial in an area of poor signal strength. It only has three preset buttons which can be annoying as it takes several button presses to listen to another station. The biggest annoyance is that the display back light goes off after a few seconds - so as a kitchen radio and timer the clock is useless. I appreciate that when running on batteries power consumption needs to be reduced, but who in their right minds operates the current generation of digital radios on batteries? When using the supplied mains adapter the back light still goes off after a few seconds.
