Utter, utter waste of time despite the mortgage being less than previous ones I had (with Abbey); I nearly lost the property I was buying. It took so long as they kept coming back with more requests regarding my income (I am a long term employee with a salary so hardly difficult). In the end I rang a broker who found me a better deal and sorted it out in 40 minutes! Bye bye Abbey, bye bye...
