We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children (aged 6 & 3). We were on a Sun newspaper break and stayed in a 3 bed static caravan. We're massive fans of St Ives and if you're looking for a cheapish way to visit then you won't go wrong. I have to say that I wasn't expecting miracles as we paid peanuts for a 3 night break at the beginning of the half term holidays. However I was very pleasently surprised. Our caravan was very nice, very clean and much bigger than I thought it would be. We paid the extra few pounds to upgrade to a wider caravan, but I didnt realise that the upgrade gave us an extra bedroom. This enabled my parents to also stay with us and even though there were 6 of us for 2 of the nights, we all fitted comfortably without being on top of each other. The entertainment wasn't exactly my cup of tea but the children thought it was great and we never stayed at the club past about 8.30 so I never saw any of the more adult stuff. There is a nice indoor and outdoor pool and after the pool is closed there are several activities for over 5's such as water walking (where you get into a giant inflatable ball and run around on the water) and aqua jets (tame jet skiing). The pool was quite chilly though. This is a large site with lots of caravans and without sounding like a snob, there were quite a lot of "chavvy types" but the security seemed quite good and there weren't any problems to my knowledge.
We're coming back in September on another Sun deal and this time I can relax and not stress out before hand about what the site might be like.
