Looks good, light, easy to store, no bags, built in cleaner (Zorb) and the Motor Head is fantastic!
Bad Points
Point picked up in earlier review - telescopic arm can occasionally collapse during use.
General Comments
Despite the cost we decided to go for this top of the range Dyson DV05 model vacuum cleaner - in particular the motor head appealed.
We have a semi-fluff cat and as a result get very furry carpets! My old Electrolux cleaner failed to pick up all the cat hairs which quite easily become entangled in the carpet fibres.
We are also moving to a new house soon and getting top of the range carpets worth £3000 and so we decided this would be an investment to protect our investment - so to speak.
With the Motorhead, it tirelessly picked up the cat hairs with just a couple of passes of the cleaner head (whereas you would be going back and forth many many times with our previous cleaner! - and even then did not compare to the results acheived with this Dyson.
To say we were impressed was an understatement. I was a little dubious because we believe the motor is only 1200 watts whereas our existing cleaner is 1500 watts. Yet, as it says on the Dyson website, the wattage only tells you how much electricity it uses, not how effective it is...and the Dyson is 100% effective.
Worth every penny of the £250 we paid.
