Have only ever used distilled water so unless it's the bottlers are lying I can't understand where the sediment comes from. No proper manual or support line came with product I bought at fashion trade show. Cleaned with CLR and replaced the O-ring and still have run several times to unplug for fear it was going to explode.Am afraid to use again. Went on-line hoping to find a repair facility when I found this site. If this product actually worked as it did at the trade show would have been great but I fear I wasted $200.
