20th May we were ment to be going on our first family holiday we travelled 100 miles to st ives went to the beach etc.... went to the local tescos to stock up on food then checked in we got t the holiday village at 3 so didnt expect to book in early as the week before i phoned saying i had 3 kids could we check in earlier and i got an admant no but we got our keys we had booked a gold chalet then everything went down hill from there our step was not infact a step it was 2 blocks that were broken my 2 year old fell over them not good start we opened the door and coulnt believe how tiny it was we were gutted we couldnt even fit the 2 tavel cots in the bedrooms it was tiny the kids could open all the doors the batroom door wouldnt shut properly the kitchen cupboards were nearly falling off the wall it smelt and was very clammy in there my 1 year old went near the small telly and nearly pulled it down on himself and he kept going over to open the fridge and try and play with the cooker so its defiently not child friendly we didnt know what to do so we decided to go swimming to the pool and we got there and the changing rooms were dirty no lockers to keep your things in and nowhere to change privately there was noone in the pool except for us it wasnt to bad 7except you couldnt use the slide and when we got out the shower was out of order! anyhow we went back to chalet still dissapointed the kids were crying we thought we go have some tea except they dont open till after 6 which is no good for us our kids go to bed at 7 so we drove to st ives to have some tea and me and my husband thought no way our kids sleeping there lets go back demand a refund get kids in pjs and go home we have more fun at home! easily got a refund and drove 100 miles home. so glad to be back wont be booking a holiday ever again and if we do it will be only to go disney or something. Also forgot to mention we had a shower in the chalet which was also no good the kids have baths they are scared of the shower and the wardrobe space in there was stuiped! and you have to pay 5 pounds for a toaster!
