Ebac 2650e.
We've had this 2650e running for over two years without complaint. It pays not to leave it dormant even during the summer. The Smart controls are Okay I guess but I like to have some degree of manual overide or input. The toggle selection method is bit irksome but we just now leave it oto it's own devices. On average the cannister needs emptying about every six days +/-.
Currently the air has to work its way around the back of the unit and in our hallway is tad awkward to suck all that nasty moist air from a confined position.
If I was their designer I'd have the cooler input air at the front and expelled warm air at the top.
Our previous 2200 lasted just over six years and was uneconomical to repair.
Are there any other Manuafactures like this that claim that their product is actually suited to the UK weather? A Chinese or Japanese unit may be fine for overseas humidities but do they work (that) well for British temperatures and humidity?
Now that Ebac only sells the filters anyone with arthritis will find it very difficult to undo all those clips on the filter housing. Poor design Ebac, you could do much, much better.
The ebac 2650e scores about 7/10 in my opinion.
