I had read the good reviews of other models made by Koolbreeze and saw they made the Kompact 15000btu (4.4Kw) model. This is ideal for my conservatory which gets very hot on a summers day but can get chilly in the evenings. The Kompact has plenty of power to cool when the sun gets really hot and can also provide heat during the evening. Because it uses heat pump technology it only uses 1.6Kw of electric but produces up to 4.4Kw of cooling or heating.

What I like is how quiet it is. Compared with some other portable units it only produces about one tenth of the noise. It is also light considering its output and how robustly built it is. It can be easily moved with the built in handle and castors.

Apart from really useful features like a timer and remote control, it makes life easy by evaporating all the water produced. That means you dont have to empty any water bucket when cooling. In fact, The Kompact goes one stage further. It has an additional function which allows you to put water into the machine and it evaporates it into super cool droplets and blows it into the room with the cool air thus cooling even more efficiently.

This really is an innovative machine which is well worth the bit extra it costs
