Stable even if (being new) I mixed up some of the conf files.
Low on resources (I wonder how low can it go!)
I've tried all kinds of WIN and RedHat, ManDrake, SuSe.
There are some help books on it

A little different from other UNIX
I couldn't find any help at the begining with the whole config. (eg. take up a workstation in a LAN or at home via PPP etc.)
Free BSD is one of the best operating systems I have ever worked with. I believe it is, just as they say, "rock-solid". At start I've done some config that, I later realize, would tear down any other OS.
