Had four pans given to me by my husband and his family for big birthday and they are all wonderful, never use metal kitchen tools in them, only wood and heat proof spatula.
Lid shattered in AGA but was replaced instantly by company that sold them to my husband.
Look after them and they will serve you well.
Having tried my father in laws a few times I knew that it is best to heat the pan before adding food, this helps seal the food and cook it more evenly.
