I owned a JL 125-11 for about a year. Like others have said I spent well over a £1000 on repairs. Within a week there was rust all over the bike despite the fact I kept it garaged over night and it had only see 1 rain shower. The electrics didn't last much longer that that. After a month my indicators and tail light had stopped working altogether, the kickstand safety had to be disconnected because it wouldn't let me put it into gear and the petrol gage stopped working too. After about 3 months the clutch cable snapped, then a week after that one of the throttle cables snapped as well. After 6 months the drive chain snapped despite the fact I kept it well greased. As well as all this, out of the 8 service and repair garages in my area only 1 would even service the damn thing. When they did service it, it cost a stupid amount for new parts, which it often needed. Overall I wouldn't recommend this bike to my worst enemy. The day it got stolen was one of the best things that could have happened to me and I actually felt sorry for the people that did take it. After it was stolen I spent a bit more money this time and got a Honda CBR 125r. One of the best decisions I've ever made. Last week I sold my little CBR and bought a 98 Suzuki Bandit 600 which is an absolutely brilliant bike. The moral to my story is DON'T BUY CHEAP CHINESE BIKES!!! Spend a bit more and invest in a Japanese bike and you WILL NOT go wrong.
