My 8 year old Staffy has had many problems over the years with foot chewing and joint pain. She started to turn her nose up at previous foods (she's had Bakers and Jolleyes own brand) so we were pretty happy to find that Wagg (her favourite treat) made food that cost just £9.99 for 15kg. Over the last 2-3 months since she's been on it, she's become progressively weaker, totally lacking in energy, sleeping all the time and her chewed foot became infected. She started vomiting a little over a week ago and eating more and more grass. The vet gave her antibiotics but didn't ask too many questions.

I did a little research and discovered the horrific facts about most shop-bought dog food and immediately looked into a change. We're on day 4 of introducing and already the change is obvious. Her foot (already treated with antibiotics and creams) is drying up and healing and she's far more alert. On the cost side, my £9.99 bag of Wagg used to last about a month. By my calculations, the 4 x more expensive Burns will last about 75 days as she only needs 200g per day instead of much more of the cheap rubbish. For me, it's a no brainer. Don't be put off by the high cost, do your sums and you may find the difference isn't much. I'll be paying about £18 a month instead of £9.99, but a lot less in vets bills and my dog will be happier and healthier!

I'll amend this review if there's any change but at the moment my only regret is not finding out about this food sooner.
