Having just returned to cycling after many years I wanted to buy into a product and service in the same way as I do with cars. I chose Evans because of reviews and the fact that they were hailed as independent specialists! I ordered with ship to store online & despite the bike being in stock and the money being taken after 2 weeks there was no contact at all from Evans. Havig contacted Evans customer service by email I was advised that the bike was in the store....only when I contacted the store they knew nothing and didn't recoginse the order number. They have a new customer ordering system which the branches and head office don't understand! So be prepared for numerous phone calls, contradictions and generally appalling customer service. You'll need to project manage your order between the warehouse/head office and the branch because they won't! Going forwards I have low expectations for future servicing etc.! I just phoned the Hendon branch & someone answered the phone didn't say a word and put the phone down whilst talking to another customer befor I hung up after 4 minutes without a word being spoken, so customer service is evidently not a company practice!!
