i had a sky+ box then replaced it with the sky HD. It is very complicated because the layout (e.g TV guide and planner) is vastly different from Sky+. I've actually realised that the channels that are not HD have deliberetely shown as very low quality (lower than normal sky), i believe this is becuase Sky want to make the HD channels look extraordinary, i believe this is cheating the system.

Overall i believe SKY+ is much better than SKY+HD, and much cheaper.
