Just returned from a weekend at Whinfell. We had a fantastic time. Was more than a little surprised to hear some earlier comments, esp. about the lack of wildlife. We saw red squirrels every day; indeed one ventured onto our outdoor table. We also had ducks wandering to the french doors beside the patio. The facilities were very clean and I would be more than happy to go back any time. It is a fine facility, with lots to do, for adults and children alike.
