“I bought this car after weeks of research into the...”

I bought this car after weeks of research into the purchase, I wanted a Golf GTi, always have, it was just a case of whether to go for the 1.8 or 2.0. Thats what I thought until during my research I came across numerous write ups on the 1.9 diesel PD150. Higher MPG, lower depreciation, better performance, the choice was made for me, and I am pleased it was.

The car returns 45 MPG running to work and back, 55-60MPG motorway runs. When I want it to the acceleration makes me grin from ear to ear. Reliabilty has been excellent to date with only tyres and wipers to pay for aside from the annual service/MOT's. I had use of a company MkV 2.0 TDI (140) for a while, and whilst handling better than the Mk IV, it never made me smile as much as the Gti PD150 when my foot was planted, the trim in the older car is also better.

If you are considering buying one I can thoroughly recommend it, I normally change cars every 1-2 years, had this one 4, not looking to change yet, says it all!
