My parents bought us a silvercross 3D pram whilst I was pregnant and we used that until our baby was 4 months old and we could afford to buy a replacement as we did not like it at all.
The Icandy Peach was one of the most expensive systems around but I absolutely fell in love with it and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a travel system if they can stretch to the extra it costs.
I used the peach from 4 months and I agree with a previous reviewer I dont think it is necessary to purchase the carrycot to use from birth, afterall your baby can sit in a reclined position for up to 2 hours in his car seat, I can't personally see the difference.
The seat separates from the frame very easily. I love that it can be tilted and there is a footstop that can be adjusted which we are still using now, as our baby is not very long (now 9 months). People often comment on how nicce the buggy is and shiny, it is so easy to manouvre and push with one hand, I just can't rate it enough.
The frame collapses down by just pulling the strap in the centre and is very light in comparison to my previous pram. It comes with a raincover and I purchased the matching footmuff. The footmuff is quite large and I think will last for some considerable time to come.
The breaking system is brilliant and I love the adjustable handle bar. I'm 5ft 8 and I found the Silvercross constantly gave me back ache. I dont get this with the Peach, it's height is perfect for me and my boyfriend who is 5ft 10.
The basket underneath is fab and you can fit in quite a lot of shopping because of the distance between the basket and the bottom of the seat. Also, because it's very well balanced frame wise you can slip a bag over the handle like your change bag if you need to, there is no risk of tipping over or swaying, it's very solid and stable.
I love the concept of the Peach and the idea that if we had another baby whilst our son still requires a stroller, we can add the carrycot at the same time as the stroller seat or simply add a second stroller seat if we would prefer. I also love the fact that the seats can face you or face away. A lot of studies have shown that childrens language and social skills benefit from facing their parent because you constantly talk to them and involve them. As yet, my son can only say bye bye and wave, so I guess we will have to see on this point.
The harness is a 5 point variety, so very safe, although as yet because we have the foot rest up, we have not used it. Our baby loves going out in it, much more than the Silvercross. I think he enjoys the fact that he is higher up and can see more in the Peach. He sleeps very well in it and looks very comfortable.
If I was going to make any criticism (apart from the price, although I think you get what you pay for and it's worth it) I would say that if you only have a small car boot you may want to test it out first as when folded it still takes up quite a bit of room!
When you buy the Icandy, the shop will assemble it. I bought mine in Frills allround, Uckfield and they sprayed the joints with silicone and checked it over completely. Unfortunately you can't buy the Icandy systems over the web, I suspect its for that reason. I guess Icandy what to make sure if there are any problems they are dealt with before the customer walks away with the pram and not one the pram is out on the street due to poor assembly or other.
