This is the worst bank account going for students. After opening an account under promises of benefits, when I rang up to gain these benefits, I was told student accounts did not exist, when I corrected the ill informed advisor, they then proceeded to tell me that the mobile phone was not available, despite that being my pure reason for joining Lloyds.



I have had so much trouble with this bank, including them giving Halifax unauthorised bank charges from when they said they would take care of transfering my Halifax account to their student account.

I strongly advise anyone considering opening this account not to! I have been told multiple times by housemates and friends that NATWEST is the best, they offer a free student railcard with their account.
