Scott August is best-known for playing Native American wood flutes. With his first four best-selling CDs and flute-festival headlining appearances, he became a leader in the field (climbing the charts, winning awards). But as a musician he has continued to grow and change. Check out his fifth CD (RADIANT SKY).



This is his most gentle and meditative recording. He still plays Native flutes on about half the tunes, but on the other half he brings piano, guitar and electronic textures to the forefront. The sound moves into the realm of instrumental space-music, which is appropriate since this album was inspired by the ancient Indians of North and South America studying the heavens of the night skies.



This is an incredible, celestial CD with many musical textures plus some great wood flute solos.
