AVG has a nice interface and is easy to use. It seems to catch viruses fairly well. At first AVG did not slow the system down, but after many updates the computer was getting gradually slower. I then removed AVG and replaced it with Avast. This is not a criticism of AVG though, as it worked for years on my older computer fine.
