Alton Towers is a brilliant family day out. The rides are world class, the park is clean, the staff are friendly and the atmosphere is excellent. Take a trip to Forbidden Valley to ride Nemesis and Air, the worlds first "flying" coaster. Enjoy a refreshing walk through the Gardens and end up in UG Land where you will find the exhillerating RITA. A short walk through UG Land and you will find yourself in Cloud Cuckoo Land, the perfect place for famillies. However, past Cloud Cuckoo Land is X Sector, home to double inverted swinging ship, Submission and the terrifying Enterprise and not forgetting Oblivion - the world's first vertical drop roller coaster. Pass through X Sector to be greeted by woops and shrieks from Spinball Whizzer in Adventure Land. After this is Old McDonald's Farm, another area that is perfect for children. A short walk from this is Towers Street and Mutiny Bay which are full of shops and stalls. Finally there are Katanga Canyon and Gloomy Wood which are perfect for young thrill seekers. Alton Towers is a huge park so prepare for some walking, but it is definitely worth it. Prices are good and theming is excellent. A brilliant day out.
