The tan is very gradual, it doesn't come overnight. It took 7-8 days for me to notice any major color change. I am using the light to medium tanner. I notice I am a bit firmer but I also use 2 other firming lotions alongside this.
The smell is HORRIBLE. Absolutely disgusting and the most vile smell I have ever encountered with a skin care produce. It's also a cross between creamy and greasy in texture. Greasy much like actual sun tan lotion, creamy much like yogurt. Once dry, there is no residue. As a moisturizer, on a scale of 1-10 I'd give it a 4.
For firming and moisturizing lotion, use Suave or St. Ives. Suave will pull out eye bags. St. Ives is simply the best quality skin lotion of any kind I have ever used. Queen Helene cocoa butter still holds top billing in terms of visible results for overall skin health.
As a tanning lotion, the VERY mild color it's given me is desirable. It looks like a natural skin pigment. Next time, I will try the medium to dark and simply mix a moderate amount with my favored skin lotion. Less stench, more color.
This is literally the most disgusting odor I've ever encountered with a product intended for your body which are generally scented to seduce not repulse.
