General Comments

The Motorola M3788 is a very good mobile phone for first time users. I've been using mine for almost 2 years without a single problem. (I'm still thinking of dumping my new Nokia 3330 cos' it don't do the same!!??).

The menu system is a joy to use,(Nokia could learn a thing or two). It also has a 'quick' menu and allows you to assign keys 1-9 for your favoured menu options - although the default settings for this are more or less ideal anyhow.
This means voicemail, number & name search, speedials, messaging, muting, all only 2 key presses away!(if Nokia's are so good why don't they do this?)

Contrary to popular belief this phone has a lot of features, but is usually aimed at the low budget user and is therefore limited by your sim services. For example this phone can handle a whole range of message types - apart from voice and text - data, fax, and even AS400!
If your service allows then the menu alters to suit - ie; call split, conference, transfer, call waiting, call toggle, a host of security features, fixed dialling lists - you'll have to read the manual for the rest!
Cable connections are at the bottom of the phone.

Downsides are the lack of features expected these days - vibrate, ringtones, composer, games, (if you really need to play 'pony' games on your phone!)and obviously WAP.

Although a tad on the large size these days, this is a very comfortable phone to use and is still as light as Nokia 3310/3330. This has got to be the lowest price and one of the most reliable and easy phones you will ever likely find - if you can find one that is.
