I too have had difficulties with PIN number changes that the Barclaycard systems don't pick up from Barclays ATMs. Contacting the call centre is like trying to have an intelligent conversation with a Stepford Wife. They don't work for Argos or for Barclaycard. It's some other company answering the calls so they don't care. They get paid whether the service is good or bad. Letters are ignored till you complain to the Argos Chief Executive. I closed the account and as for the loyalty scheme - it's a figment of their imagination. Spent £2,000 and never got a penny out of them. Am now tring the Ombudsman.
The Executives at Argos earn millions between them but have no idea how to treat their customers. It's a business that deserves to fail. John Lewis is where my spending will move to.
