Good Points

small size, attractive colors and design, orange glowing interface, easy maneouvre through the menu as well as phone books, easy and fast helpful messaging, effective vibrator, handy calculator and currency converter, uff... i may fill up the limits if i start feeding in all good qualities of the handset.


Bad Points

Not so melodious tunes, small and unclear display for missed calls, slightly uncomfortable standing charger.


General Comments

The Alcatel 301 is a great mobile phone for the cost that I needed to pay for it. Has more than all features that I expected it to provide me with. Its helpful sms messaging editor makes message writing fast. Has a strong speaker for handsfree talking and facility to connect some effective accessories as well. Has a cute look with variable front panel that give opportunity to change colors with moods. A dependable LONG battery life makes me carefree while carrying the mobile to the jungle etc for my field trips. Has an envious reception quality which my friends keep discussing about when they compare their siemens and motorola sets. The only drawback i see at the moment is the unavailability of many melodies. Makes melodies slightly boring and dull in nature.
